In Loving Memory
At 6:36 p.m. (central) on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, Rev, Dr. Larry G. Hinson went to be with the Lord.
Born July 14, 1956, Larry dedicated his entire life to Ministry at the young age of 11 years old. In June 1967, he began to preach the gospel. In December of that same year he stepped on a platform for the first time to sing with his family at a little church revival and the “The Original Hinsons” were formed. By 13 years of age, he was in full-time ministry, singing the gospel and spreading the good news about Jesus, alongside his brothers Kenny and Ronny, and his sister Yvonne.
The Hinsons wrote and recorded timeless classics such as “The Lighthouse,” “Come To the Water,“ “Joy Comes In The Morning,” “Call Me Gone,” “That I Could Still Go Free,“ and many more. The Hinsons made weekly appearances on “The Gospel Singing Jubilee,” and the group was inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall Of fame in 2006.
A licensed minister with the Assembly of God since 1980, Larry took on the call of full-time evangelism to further God‘s kingdom in 1981. His lovely wife, Jana, walked this journey alongside Larry for 44 years. Larry had three children, oldest son Jay, his daughter Lyndi and his youngest son Matthew. In that time they appeared on numerous television program, including the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN & Daystar).

The Original Hinsons (sometimes referred to as The Singing Hinson Family) were a multi-award-winning Southern Gospel group that was formed in 1967 and was active until 1994.

After leaving the Original Hinsons, Dr. Larry Hinson pastored and evangelized for many years along side his wife Jana and there 3 kids.
Born To Rap for GOD "O.F.C. On Fire for Christ"
Jay Hinson, the oldest son of Dr. Hinson, or as we know him now by JRev, (Jay The Revelator), started rapping in 1988 in his father's church New Life Worship Center in North Little Rock, AR. Jay formed his very first Rap Group "O.F.C." (On Fire for Christ), after being exposed to the well know group DC TALK. Jay and his band members would perform at many church events and local street outreach events in there home town of NLR ( North Little Rock, AR.). After the years fell upon the little group of men (O.F.C.), Jay found out he was the last member who wanted to still go on rapping.
Blast From The Past "39th Street Boyz"
In 1999 Jay moved to Nashville, TN. and was discovered by hot local Rapper and Entrepreneur, Ariacio Porter (SHO DADDY). This new relationship turned into one for life. As time went by SHO decided to ask Jay to join his own group called the "39th Street Boyz". Now obviously this group was the total opposite of Jay's earlier group in times past due to simple fact it was a secular group. Jay decided to give this new direction a try for years until the Passing of his Father in April 2020 where the Lord called Jay back into action for His Work. Jay rededicated his life to Christ and changed his name from "JROCK" to "JRev" (Jay the Revelator), and started over making music & preaching for Jesus.

In late 2020 Jay began to minister on Facebook LIVE and share his testimony to all who would watch. During his online revival which he called a "Praise Break", that lasted 55 days straight, and ended as a "Praise Quake", he asked his fellow GODSQUAD followers would they like to hear JRev make a new album. With no equipment on hand, Jay felt led by GOD to ask if anyone would like to donate to his ministry in order for him to buy and build a mini studio to record a new project (Risen From The Ashes), to release in 2022. Well GOD made all that possible through a select and obedient few people, "Little is much when GOD is in it", as Dr. Hinson would alwyas say. Which brings us to the present day. Where Jay has took that one goal and has now built his own label and publishing company, to glorify GOD first, and second allow other Christian artists a chance to make Godly Music for all to hear. And this is how GODSQUAD MUSIC.com was formed.
